Aggressive water (construction)

Water containing natural (e.g. salts) or man-made (e.g. industrial sewage/waste water, oils, humus) substances that attack or react with other substances are termed aggressive waters. Possible risks are e.g. negative impact on the Hydration of cement-containing construction materials (concrete, mortar, screed, etc.), washing out minerals and solids (rock, masonry, concrete, etc.) as well as causing Corrosion (reinforcement, tubes, etc.).
