Mineral material
In case of crack repair with cement suspension and cement paste, cracked structural elements are repaired by means of non-positive injection. The cracks are injected so that no more water can penetrate after the injection process is completed. The injection material forms a protection against the penetration of aggressive substances and prevents corrosion of the reinforcement. The load-bearing capacity of the structural elements is restored by the frictional connection of the crack flanks.
Aims of application
- Sealing and filling of cracks, hollows and voids
 - Creation of frictional connection of cracked building components
 - Creation of a connection guaranteeing tensile and compression strength
 - Masonry consolidation and stabilisation

Filling material
- Injection mortar
 - Cement paste
 - Cement suspension

Demands on injection packer
- The material of the packers (parts of packer) must be appropriate for the used injection material
 - Safe retention in the structural element during the injection at pressures depending on the injection method
 - Corrosion resistance of the parts remaining in the building
 - Possibility of shutting off
 - Cross section adjusted to flow properties of injection material
 - No reduction of cross section in the packer and connection system

Suitable objects
- Residential buildings, industrial structures
 - Buildings of masonry and concrete
 - Natural stone buildings
 - Historic and listed buildings
 - Civil engineering and water engineering
 - Canal-, harbour-, and river engineering

Bore packer
Range of application
- Dry and humid structural elements
 - For the filling of cavaties
 - Low- and high pressure injection into structures

Demands on the injection packers
- Compatibility of materials (packer components) with fillers used
 - Reliable fixing in the component at the process-related injection pressures
 - Corrosion resistance of the parts remaining in the structure
 - Possibility of shutting off

Placing of the injection packers
- Packer distance depends on component thickness (½ component thickness = packer distance)
 - Drill alternately at an angle of 45° to the crack to hit the crack in the middle of the component (depending on the object)
 - Clean (e. g. with compressed air) and prepare the boreholes, depending on the filler set and clamp packer (in the case of dry cracks, prewet crack flanks)
 - Close crack with insulating material, leave crack end free for venting and level control, at the highest point for vertical cracks
 - Inject the packer until the crack filler emerges from the next packer, reinject each packer within the processing time of the crack filler
 - After the injection the injection packers are removed or non-corrosive parts can remain in the building (agreement with the builder required)
 - Seal boreholes

Plugging
- The insulation prevents the filler from escaping during injection
 - Repair of leaks with fast-reacting substances

Extracting tool for lamella drive-in packer
Combine your extracting tool
In order to remove lamella drive-in packers from the construction element there are different extracting tools available, varying to the type of the packers. The extracting tool is screwed in or on the lamella drive-in packer and the impact weight is moved powerful into the pull-out direction. Step by step the packer is removed from the construction element.- Basis: Pull rod
 - Weights available individually between 1 kg and 1.4 kg

Advantages
- For the extraction of different types of packers
 - All adaptors can be combined with both pulling devices according to the application
 - Reusable product
 - Easy handling

Extracting tool
Application
Adhesive Packer
Advantages
- Injection with low- and high pressure method

The adhesive packers resist to high injection pressures depending on the adhesion with the soil.
- Saving of time and material

» The sealing material is spread on the crack surface
Application range
- On non-wet surfaces
 - Structural elements with dense reinforcement
 - Pre-stressed concrete
 - For a width of crack from approx. 0.2 mm with filling material cement suspension

Placing of the adhesive packers
- Roughen the surface on both sides of the crack depending on structural element, remove any debris or loose particles, dust etc.
 - Distance between packers depends on thickness of structural element (normally: thickness of structural element = distance between packers)
 - Keep the injection channel free by driving a greased steel pin into the crack
 - Seal the crack with sealing material, but stop at the end of crack for deseration and control of filling level
 - Remove all steel pins and screw a locking tappet on the the packer, open it and start injection
 - Inject from bottom to top
 - Close locking tappet when air and filling material is coming out of the adjacend packer
 - Continue injection with the next packer
 - Re-inject each packer within the pot life of the packer
 - Once the injection material is hardened remove the packer and sealing material
 - Recondition surface

Information
- A test injection on the object is recommended before application
 - Pre-wet the crack or void before starting injection with mineral filling material

Injection device
general
The self-injecting device is used when the injection process has to be carried out at low pressure (approx. 1 bar) and over a longer time period to ensure a successful result (e. g. with very fi ne cracks).
Material to be used
- Cement suspension
 - Epoxy resin
 - Polyurethane

Advantages
- Injection without machines
 - Simple working principle
 - Easy visual monitoring of consumption
 - Several injection devices can be used at the same time at various places
 - Can be used overhead

General operation
- Hook the tension springs to the packer
 - Draw in injection material using the material cylinder
 - Insert material cylinder into the cone
 - Place the pressing unit on the piston
 - The injection process starts, the material consumption is indicated at the scale
 - Repeat fi lling process if necessary

ADHESIVE PACKER
- Mark the distance between packers
 - Grease a steel pin and drive it into the crack
 - Bonding with Klebfix
 - Apply adhesive (sealing material) on the adhesive surface of the packer
 - Place packer
 - Seal crack surface up to 3 – 5 cm from the end of crack
 - Bonding with hot glue
 - Apply adhesive (sealing material) on the adherend of the packer and slip the packer over the steel pin and press the packer on the concrete
 - Seal possible open cracks between the injection devices with adhesive
 - Remove steel pin from packer

MULTI TILE PACKER
- Mit dem Spezialbohrer Ø 6 mm in die Fugenkreuze der hohlliegenden Fliesen bohren
