SI prefixes

SI prefixes had been determined (from the Greek alphabet) to form the decimal multiples and submultiples of the SI units (SI system). Examples: mm = millimetre = 10-3 metre, Mm = megametre = 106 metre. As the examples show, it must be observed that the SI prefixes are case sensitive.
