Strip foundation / Pad foundation
Apart from foundation plates, strip and pad foundation can be used if the load bearing and load transferring elements of a building are walls or columns.
- Strip foundation: Excavation of the soil as required in width and depth in accordance with the course of the walls (foundation plan), pouring of the foundation with all required measures as formwork, reinforcement, etc.
- Pad foundation: Excavation or drilling of holes into the ground down to the calculated depth in accordance with the foundation plan, placing of framework, reinforcement, etc., pouring of the concrete piles. Buildings with pad foundations are also called pile constructions.
