Wall / Base Joint

The construction joint between base and wall (masonry, prefabricated wall, etc.) is defined as wall/base joint. It is a critical point regarding waterproofness particularly in the cellar respectively in areas near water. There are preventive as well as subsequent measures that can be taken to ensure watertightness. Preventive measures are e.g. the installation of water blocking tapes or of an hose system.
