Thermoset material (duromer)

Thermoset materials have a highly cross-linked structure, making them very hard and brittle. They do not melt or soften plastically but degrade when heated. For shaping them, they have to be processed mechanically. Thermoset materials are e.g. resin, polyester (PES), polyurethane (PUR).
