Temperature

The temperature is a measured variable and shows the thermal state of a gaseous, liquid or solid substance, body or system. It is one of the 7 SI base quantities and is measured in (K). If other scales are used, as the Celsius scale, the indication is made in degree plus corresponding indicator scale, e.g. °C. When the Celsius scale is used, temperature differences are stated in K to avoid mistakes.
Note: In countries applying the Fahrenheit scale (°F), the Rankine scale (°Ra) is the equivalent to the Kelvin scale. Both scales start at the absolute zero point, Kelvin follows the graduation of the Celsius scale, i.e. 0 K = 273.15 °C, Rankine follows the graduation of the Fahrenheit scale, i.e. 0 °Ra = 459.67 °F.
