Compressor

Compressors compact gases in a closed interior space of the device. There are different designs (e.g. with/without compressed gas reservoir) and functional principles (e.g. pistons, worms). The air compressor is probably the most popular device (plants, service stations, dental offices, etc.). The decisive parameters of a compressor are the quantity delivered, i.e. volume per time unit [m³/min, l/min] as well as the maximum operating/working pressure [bar] of the compressed gas.
